1 February 1837 – The Congregation of the Sisters of Providence is founded

1 February 1837, a special date: in the city of Udine a new light was kindled

Dear brothers and sisters,
1 February 1837, a special date: in the city of Udine a new light was kindled. Nine extraordinary women left everything behind to come together, laying the foundation of the first community of the Sisters of Providence on the values of Charity, Poverty, Humility, Simplicity, Sacrifice, and Prayer, guided by the spirit of a deep abandonment to Providence.

Thus, the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence was born under the spiritual guidance of the Founder, Saint Luigi Scrosoppi. You too, dear reader, who make yourself an instrument of Providence by supporting one of our projects of Good aimed at those who suffer, are part of this wonderful story of Charity.

May our heartfelt and grateful THANK YOU reach your heart!
With fraternal greetings and remembrance!
